The Hole (1998)

Tsai Ming-liang · 95m · 35mm
At the turn of the millenium, a strange plague has spread across the city. Sequestered alone in a run-down apartment block, a man and a woman meet — absurdly — through the accidental hole that connects their two apartments. The rain outside seems like it will keep pouring forever, but in the face of loneliness, comfort can be found in the most peculiar of places. The film is punctuated by moments of levity, with surreal song and dance numbers set to the music of 50s star Grace Chang.

I Want Your Sex (2026)

Gregg Araki · 90m · DCP
New Queer Cinema icon Gregg Araki returns with his first directorial credit in over a decade. In I Want Your Sex, his signature raunchy satire takes dead aim at Gen Z’s perceived sexual puritanism: when fortysomething artist Erika (Olivia Wilde) hires the fresh-out-of-college Elliot (Cooper Hoffman) as her studio assistant, their relationship quickly becomes anything but strictly professional.

American Doctor (2026)

Poh Si Teng · 93m · DCP
Three American physicians — Palestinian, Jewish, and Zoroastrian — fly into Gaza’s Nasser Hospital under fire, running surgeries in the middle of a war zone as patients arrive faster than they can be treated. Later they carry home what they witnessed to Congress. Director Poh Si Teng, who emptied her savings to make the film after a journalist colleague was killed in Gaza, insists that we bear witness: a photo of dead children remains unblurred. American Doctor refuses to look away, and asks whose deaths are allowed to matter.
Presented in partnership with Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine and Students for Justice in Palestine. Screening will be free to the public.

Hong Sang-soo · 85m · DCP
In a series of minimal, single-take long shots, Hong Sang-soo follows middle-aged actress Jeong-su (Song Seon-mi) through a series of interviews. At the behest of her three interlocutors, she meditates on leaving the film industry after marriage and returning to it after divorce. But when tasked with reenacting these conversations in an acting class later that day, Jeong-su can hardly remember what she did or didn’t reveal.

Blue Heron (2025)

Sophy Romvari · 91m · DCP
A summer on Vancouver Island curdles slowly, the way memory does, light and dread pooling together in the same room. Eight-year-old Sasha watches her family come undone around her brother Jeremy, whose increasingly dangerous unraveling she is too young to name but old enough to feel. Years on, grown and armed with a camera, she returns to that house to excavate what was buried there. Sophy Romvari’s autobiographical debut, named after a gift from the brother she lost, folds grief and guilt into a hazy, magical-realist reckoning with the past.
